About the celebration events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War
19.05.2025On May 9, 2025, a solemn reception was held in the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, jointly organized by the embassies of Russia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The Mongolian side was represented at this event by the Prime Minister of Mongolia Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Mongolia Major General Sunrevyn Ganbyamba.
In his welcoming speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Mongolia Dzmitry Harelik noted the huge contribution of the Belarusian people to the victory over fascism, the special significance of the memorable date celebrated today and the importance of preserving the historical truth about the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
On May 10, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Mongolia Dzmitry Harelik and the staff of the Embassy, together with the heads and representatives of the diplomatic missions of Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, took part in the ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the Stele to Soviet Soldiers at the foot of Mountain Zaisan in Ulaanbaatar and the tank “Revolutionary Mongolia”, as well as at the monument “Air Squadron “Mongolian Arat” and at the monument to Marshal of the Soviet Union, four times Hero of the USSR, Hero of Mongolia G.K. Zhukov.
Also on May 10, 2025, diplomats of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Mongolia and members of their families took part in the public action “Immortal Regiment” in Ulaanbaatar and in the opening ceremony of the monument “Cranes” on the territory of the Russian House in the capital of Mongolia, dedicated to the memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War.
