On the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus and the official opening ceremony of the Alley of Friendship between Belarus and Mongolia

On July 3, 2022, The Embassy held a reception in the National Park (Ulaanbaatar). It was devoted to the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus and the opening of the Friendship Alley of Belarus and Mongolia.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Mongolia D.Harelik drew the guests’ attention to the history of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.
According to the Ambassador, “On July 3, 1944, during the operation “Bagration”, the city of Minsk was liberated from the Nazi invaders, since then this day has been celebrated as the Independence Day of Belarus. This holiday unites everyone who honors the glorious history of their Motherland and believes in its worthy future. The Independence Day is the embodiment of heroism, resilience, unparalleled courage and greatness of the spirit of the people, a symbol of the unity, well-being and prosperity of our country,” the Ambassador said.
D.Harelik also spoke about the Year of Historical Memory taking place in Belarus in 2022 and the investigation of the genocide of the Belarusian people, which is currently being conducted by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus.
The diplomats of the Embassy, representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as various ministries and government agencies of Mongolia took part in the official opening ceremony of the Friendship Alley of Belarus and Mongolia, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Mongolia.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Mongolia highlighted the warm, friendly relations based on mutually beneficial cooperation that has developed between Belarus and Mongolia, and also confirmed his firm intention to maintain and increase the dynamics of development of bilateral relations at all levels and in all directions.
