On a Ceremony of Handing to the Mongolian National Library a Reproduction of the Book Heritage of Francysk Skaryna

On May 30th, 2018 the solemn ceremony of donation of a facsimile edition “The Book Heritage of Francysk Skaryna” to the Mongolian National Library took place in Ulaanbaatar.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Mongolia Mr. Stanislav Chepurnoy handed the collection of a 21-volume facsimile and an appropriate certificate over Director of the National Library of Mongolia Bayarkhuu Ichinkhorloo.

The representatives of the Belarusian diplomatic mission, the National Library of Mongolia and Mongolian mass media attended the ceremony, as well.

In his speech, the head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission told about the contribution of Francysk Skaryna in formation of Belarusian and development of East Slavic printing, and expressed confidence that this event will be a good beginning for a fruitful cooperation between Belarus and Mongolia in the field of librarianship.

In her turn, B.Ichinkhorloo thanked the Belarusian side for a unique gift that will be a great help for the Mongolian scientists in the study of world and Slavic literature. She also expressed interest in developing cooperation with the National Library of Belarus.

After the ceremony the Ambassador of Belarus gave an interview to the Mongolian media.
